Saturday Night Hangar Dance
Your Saturday admission ticket includes the Big Band Hangar Dance. Join us in the Navy hangar from 6:00-9:00pm and dance the night away to the sounds of a swing band. Come dressed in period clothing to add to the experience. Music provided by the Mark Michielsen Big Band. The 17-member Big Band plays all sorts of venues across the country and has a huge collection of big band music in their repertoire.
This rambunctious crew of gifted musicians, led by trombonist Mark Michielsen, has performed throughout Europe, Japan, the Middle East, and of course, the United States. The musicians have worked individually and together on numerous recording projects for movie soundtracks and CDs, and most have had the honor of performing for several United States Presidents and the US Congress at the White House, as well as other dignitaries and heads of state around the world.
