VA Beach Airshow 2010
As of May 29, 2008, the Fighter Factory officially has opened their museum. This
is our chance to be on the ground level of something new, great and exciting.
The plans as stated are for the respective units to be around their respective
planes, pilots and ground crew. When you arrive at the event, the planes WILL
be there and you won't have to wait to see whether or not they show up. The
organizers are open to any scenario that you may have in mind whether you portray
an infantry impression or air force. This is not just a airshow as it is inclusive
of all infantry and other impressions as well. All impressions are welcome
and the sky is the limit. Briefings, drill, scrambles, displays, aircraft
recognition, training lectures, and so on- a lot of the same things that are
normally done at shows by your respective units. The scenarios can be limitless
as long as they involve public education. There can be no political affiliations
represented.
We are looking for Allied and Axis re-enactors of high quality to take part in
this show. There’s plenty of room for infantry and other units at this event
as well.
For ground troops – who at the other major shows are just as important and
a huge draw at events – there will be plenty of room for displays of field equipment,
vehicles, etc. and while we haven’t discussed it as of yet, they would likely
be open to tactical displays .
One of the best things that we have experienced with the FF is that they are
VERY re-enactor friendly, particularly if educating the public is your
thing.
