Merchandise and Food Vendors
The Military Aviation Museum is seeking vendors to display and sell their related products at the Warbirds Over the Beach airshow. Both food and merchandise vendors are requested for this first weekend of an annual airshow, located at the Virginia Beach airport. All vendor locations will be outside on a grassy area near the driveway and re-enactor encampments. The daily hours of operation will be Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm
Food Vendors
The museum is requesting interest from an assortment of different style of food vendors that can present their products in self contained food trailers or independent tents. These should be products that can be easily prepared and sold to airshow attendees. Such food products must be easy to consume, as tables or chairs will not be readily available. Assorted products such as fried chicken, barbecue, sandwiches, skewered foods, fish and chips, or similar quickly prepared meals would be ideal. Side items as drinks, chips, fries, deserts, ice creams, and similar products can be sold separately, or added to the meals. Also, drink vendors selling lemonades, water, soft drinks, and more, may offer their beverages without food. Alcoholic Beverages will not be allowed to be sold during the daytime hours.
Since space is limited, so there will not be more then a half dozen approved vendors selected and approved. Variety of food will be very important in the selection process. All vendors will be required to provide liability insurance, city license, sales tax certificate, and approval from the Department of Health. There will be a One Hundred Dollar cleaning deposit required for each location, which will be returned after inspection of the premises. The cost to participate as an authorized food vendor will be ten percent of the gross, pre-tax sales receipts. This fee must be paid before departure at the end of the weekend.

Merchandise Vendor
The museum is seeking qualified merchandise vendors that have products that would likely interest airshow attendees. They might be such items as airplane models, aviation and military books, World War Two souvenirs and memorabilia, uniforms or t-shirts, and countless other similar products. However, the general, overall make up of the types of items being offered for sale must relate to the airshow and military demonstrations. You can not specialize in the sale of objects that have no relationship to the airshow.
The cost per merchandise vendor is $100 for each 10 ft by 10 ft (100 sq ft) of outside display area. You may erect a tent, cover, or small enclosed structure, but it can not exceed outside the square footage designated space. There is no discount for multiple, adjacent rental spaces.

For additional information, contact the museum and inquire from the Museum Director. Approval requires submittal of an application, which can be down loaded from this webpage and faxed or scanned and emailed to the museum. The attachment of a photograph of your sales stall at a prior event would make your application and requested approval be processed much quicker. One photo is often worth a thousand words.
We wish you success and look forward to having your join us in Virginia Beach for this wonderful event to be remembered and embraced by the thousands of visitors. Help us make it a huge success.
