Following right along behind the Fuel Truck restoration is another new piece of equipment for the airfield! This 1941 International-built Fire Engine has come to us from North Carolina, and we are excited to get started. The current condition of the vehicle is being surveyed (it does run!) and a couple of ground rules have been established - chief among them - its not a Fire Engine if it can't spray water! That means we will have to get the pump working, and the tank will have to hold water.

While work continues to build the roadmap for tackling the project, there is also research on going to create a list of all the required equipment and parts to complete the truck. This research will also settle the question of what color it should be! Fire Trucks were generally red before Pearl Harbor, and those ordered after were painted OD green.
