Barry Knight

Delegate Barry Knight is a native Virginian who resides in the Pungo area of Virginia Beach with his wife and three sons. Through his agribusiness profession, Delegate Knight was named Virginia Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer of the Year, Pork All American, and Virginia Beach Man of the Year in Agriculture. He has been awarded by the Department of Conservation and Recreation the Clean Water Farm Award, and was also awarded the Grand Winner Chowan River Basin Clean Water Farm Award. Barry is also a lifetime honorary member of the Nature Conservancy.

Delegate Knight represents the 81st District to the Virginia House of Delegates. He was elected by special election in 2008 andcurrently serves House Appropriations; House General Laws; House Rules; and House Agriculture Committee.

Delegate Knight has been a licensed aviator since 2001. He flies a green Robinson R-44 and is a voice for aviators in the General Assembly. He can often be seen in the air in Southern Virginia Beach and Southern Chesapeake checking out his farmland or on his way to the Eastern Shore to go fishing when the fishing is good.
