April 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Please Note this Webinar is at 6pm Eastern.  The DFW Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is returning a historic Douglas R4D-6S to the shores of Normandy for the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings. “Ready 4 Duty”, a WWII U.S. Naval veteran, is making the transatlantic journey from Dallas, Texas, to bring the U.S. Navy and some of its important artifacts back to commemorate Operation Neptune, and the beginning of the liberation of Europe. A flying time capsule, “Ready 4 Duty” and her crew will be traveling with a precious cargo of Navy artifacts representing a number of the US Navy ships present for the landings on June 6, 1944. Artifacts will include pieces of hull steel from the Torpedo Blisters on the USS Texas, and other items that will be shown for the first time during the presentation. With the “Ready 4 Duty” leaving for Normandy in just a few short weeks, this is an opportunity to have a sneak peek at a flying WWII US Naval Museum with DFW Wing Leader Chris Volpe.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
